Your bike deserves more than a corner of the garage—how to display it like a work of art
Share
A carbon road bike, a high-end gravel bike, or a custom fixie is as much a beautiful object as it is a high-performance one. If you've invested $2,000, $4,000, or more in your bike, hiding it in a dusty basement doesn't do it justice.
More and more cyclists are choosing to display them — in the living room, hallway, or home office. Not just to store them: to showcase them.
The bike as a decorative piece
A beautiful bike on a well-chosen wall is an instant conversation starter. The clean lines of a road bike, the colors of a custom-painted frame, the geometry of a fixie — all of it deserves to be seen.
The key is the mount. A generic metal hook won't do a $3,000 bike justice. A carefully crafted solid wood mount, however, will.
Mounts that transform a bike into a display object
Round shape — softness and elegance
The round shape softens the bike's silhouette and creates an interesting contrast with the frame's straight lines. The integrated shelf allows you to place an accessory, a plant, or a decorative object. Handlebar up to 22", 35 lb capacity.

Diamond shape — geometry and character
More angular, the diamond plays on geometry and gives a more contemporary look. Ideal for bikes with aggressive lines — road, gravel, or triathlon bikes. Handlebar up to 24", 35 lb capacity.

15-20° angle — the gallery effect
This is the most spectacular mount. The bike is suspended at an angle by the wheel and frame simultaneously, giving it a unique visual dynamic — as if it were in motion. On a white or concrete wall, the effect is striking.
This is the choice you make when you really want the bike to be the center of attention in a room.

Where to install it in the house?
Living room — the wall behind the sofa or opposite the entrance. The bike becomes the first object noticed upon entering.
Hallway — a long hallway with an angled bike creates an immediate gallery effect.
Home office — between two shelves or behind the screen, it adds character to a workspace.
Bedroom — for cyclists who truly live for cycling. It's done, and it looks good.
What to check before installation
- Load-bearing or non-load-bearing wall — for an 8-10 kg bike, a standard wall with adequate anchoring is perfectly sufficient. Everything is provided.
- Installation height — allow at least 30 cm of clearance above the handlebars to easily remove the bike.
- Handlebar width — check that your handlebars fit the chosen mount's format (22" or 24").
All AVLR Creations mounts are made in Quebec from solid wood or Baltic birch plywood. Screws and anchors included.
